Useful information for Parents and Carers of children in Year 5.

We have two Year 5 classes; 5R and 5A.

Year 5 Staff
5R: Natalie Rodrigues (Class teacher)
5A: Rina Akahane (Class Teacher),
Support staff: Andrea Littlewood, Judy Smith, Ebony Thomas (SEN TA) and Amy Clayton (SEN TA)

Classroom Location
5R: On the  top floor, just off the left-hand-side (as you approach from the playground)
5A: On the top floor, to the right of the Chip-Shop (Computer room).

Parent-Teacher Times
Natalie and Rina hold regular times when they will be available to see you without an appointment. If you would like see them then just drop in.

5R: Monday 3:45 – 4:15
5A: Monday  3:45 – 4:15

If meeting at these times is not convenient for you then please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.

Homework
The children have homework once a week. The work will be sent home on Friday and should be returned on the following Tuesday. It is your child’s responsibility to complete and return their homework on time.

P.E./Dance
This year the children will have dance lessons for one half term per term on Fridays. 5R will have their lessons for the first half of each term. 5A will have dance lessons for the second half of each half term.  5R will also have a PE lesson each Thursday and 5A will have a PE lesson on  each Thursday’s. Children need to bring in a change of clothes for these activities (T- shirt, vest, loose fitting jogging bottoms, shorts, leggings, etc.). They should also have suitable footwear e.g. trainers.

How you can help
If you have any knowledge, skill, or artefacts related to what we are learning in school, then please do get in touch with your child’s teacher. We love having our Parents and Carers come in and help us all to learn!
