The Yerbury Community Choir was originally formed over 10 years ago to bring together parents of Yerbury Primary School in an informal setting. We are a small, friendly no-audition choir, under the instruction of professional choir master Tom Scratchleyand are a mixture of parents and other local residents. We sing a wide variety of pieces, from Tudor to 2020, a mix of classical, musicals, jazz and world music, and in recent years we’ve sung in English, French, Hebrew, Russian, German and Congolese!

You do not have to be able to read music, or indeed have a particularly great voice, just a love of singing.

You’re welcome to just turn up on Monday or for more details please get in touch with Wanda Marshall on wandamarshall@hotmail.com

Camping

Summer Camping Trip
2021 – TBC
White Mark Farm, Watlington, Oxfordshire

http://www.whitemarkfarm.co.uk.

For a good number of years now a group of Yerbury families have been camping at this lovely site about 40 miles from Islington. We take over a huge field and everyone is welcome. It is great fun and the kids love it.

No camping experience required. It is a great place to do your first camping weekend. In fact you can come for the night or even visit just for the day.

Activities include walking to local pubs/ playing games/ big camp fire Saturday night/ wild water swimming in Thames. Everyone brings their own food but it a very communal event.

In previous years, camp fees are collected at the weekend (see website for fees, location and directions).

If you are interested in going our new organisers last year were Jonny Eaglesham and Graham Chapman.  Please do get in touch with them to see what might be planned for 2021.  Jonny can be reached at Jon.Eaglesham@barrgazetas.com.
